Well, what an exciting and busy few months it has been.
Marion City Band provided entrants in both B Grade and C Grade Brass Bands at the Australian Nationals Competitions held over the Easter weekend in April (14-17th) in Launceston, Tasmania.
With lots of rehearsal time over a period of 3 months , along with a pre-nationals concert held for family and friend prior to leaving, the bands were well prepared for this year’s competition.
The B Grade Marion City Band results were outstanding with a 3rd place from 14 Bands competing in this section.
Results from C Grade Brass Bands were equally outstanding, with Warriparinga Brass, in their debut at this level (moving up from D grade after a successful 2016) achieved a 2nd of 8 entrant at this years National Competitions.
Many players and their families took the opportunity to have an extended holiday after the Nationals and doing some exploring around Tasmania.
